I am a lifelong member of the Anglican Church, baptised at St Jude’s, Brighton in South Australia and confirmed at St Peter’s Cathedral. I currently worship at St Saviour’s church Glen Osmond and serve as one its Synod representatives.
By profession I am a barrister and solicitor with particular interests in professional standards, ethics, and women’s issues. For a long time, I acted solely for women involved in family law proceedings and for me the role of women in society came sharply into focus. Although it should go without saying… For a truly just society women need to be accorded proper recognition and equality in all areas – we need to remain vigilant and proactive to ensure that is a reality.
In the latter years of my fulltime practice I worked in the areas of professional standards, ethics and risk management. Although my practice was South Australian based, I collaborated with colleagues in other jurisdictions throughout Australia and I am sensitive to issues arising in a national context.
