The Rev’d Dr Ann Edwards is the Priest-in-Charge of the Parish of The Gap in Queensland, and a certified practising speech pathologist. Ann was ordained Deacon in 2019 and Priest in 2020; prior to ordination, Ann was a Lecturer in Speech Pathology at Australian Catholic University, following a career in clinical practice and then management in Queensland Health.
Having not ever seen women in the Sanctuary growing up, the ordination of women had a profound impact of Ann’s understanding of her place in the church as a young woman. She is committed to continuing the work for the equity, equality and safety of women in all areas of our church life.
